Large walnut footstool embroidered with a study of Sheriff Hutton Hall Yorkshire, within a floral border.
Brass plaque to the underside reads:
" The embroidery on this stool is the work of Ruth, wife of Col. Hon. Humphrey Wyndham of Caversfield, Bicester. It depicts Sheriff Hutton near York.
It was started in June 1939, laid aside during World War II, recommenced in 1946 and completed in March 1955"
